This package contains the Smaller Installer “Builder” application and supporting documentation. To create your own installer, you will also need a copy of Compact Pro®. In addition, you may require a resource editor such as ResEdit™ or Resorcerer®.
Getting Started
To get started using Smaller Installer, install the toolkit and read the “SI User's Guide”. This document is in Microsoft Word 5.0 format. If you are not familiar with Compact Pro, you should also review the “Compact Pro User's Guide”.
Installing the Toolkit
• If you are using any anti-virus utility other than Disinfectant™, please turn it off before proceeding. Anti-virus utilities such as Virex™ or SAM™ tend to interfere with installers.
• Use the Drive button to select the disk where you would like to have the toolkit installed.
• Click the Install button to begin the installation. The installer will place all files in a folder named “Smaller Installer 1.1.1” on the selected disk.
Restrictions On Distribution
This file (“SI Toolkit Installer”) may be distributed freely as long as it is not mod- ified in any way. Distribution of any of the individual files within the package is not allowed.
